On the first French offshore wind farm in operation, OPENR is the company contracted by GE WIND to carry out the regulatory inspections of safety equipment.
Since the commissioning phase, our dedicated offshore technicians have been rotating on the offshore wind turbines from SOV or CTV vessels.
The specific organization for maritime operational constraints has made OPENR a forerunner in French offshore wind energy, in the continuity of the recognized quality services in onshore wind.

OPENR has recently obtained ISO 9001 quality certification for its wind energy services activities in the area of regulatory verification and site supervision.
This recognition consolidates our QHSE organization, which has been one of our priorities for several years.

OpenR has been selected by VALEMO to work alongside it for the quality inspection of the 80 Haliade 150-6MW offshore wind turbines of the Saint-Nazaire wind farm, a mission entrusted by GE Renewable Energy.
Jean-Jacques Vinat, President of OpenR: “This contract reinforces our development of our offshore activities, a strategy initiated since we joined the Louis Dreyfus Armateurs group in 2019 and today concretized by the role we play in structuring the French offshore wind industry.”

Confirmed offshore expertise
From mid-August to mid-September, the OpenR teams carried out their first offshore mission on a wind farm. This mission consisted in inspecting the blades of the wind turbines of this park. The mission was successfully completed in four weeks. OpenR would like to thank Cornis for their trust.

Wind turbine blades must be inspected every six months since the publication of the new ICPE decree.
OpenR is able to perform these blade inspections on a wide range of wind turbines using the Cornis Panoblade tool. This solution and the dedicated online platform allow a complete inspection of the blades in less than one hour per machine and a precise analysis with Cornis Artificial Intelligence.

06/10 – Following the announcements by the Paris police unit, the Colloque National Eolien scheduled for October 14 and 15, 2020 at the Parc Floral de Paris has been cancelled. This cancellation is required following the publication of the instructions related to the fight against the spread of COVID-19.
